The Way Down Wanderers

Clayton County CAN! with the Volga Opera House will host a fall benefit concert for Clayton County land stewardship and conservation projects including the restoration of the Osborne Pond.

Doors open at 6:00 PM. Music at 7:00 featuring Singer-Songwriter Randal Sandersfeld followed by The Way Down Wanderers.

Sandersfeld is a seasoned musician and actor most recently appearing in a Woody Guthrie show in the Amana Colonies. He writes original songs but also does wonderful versions of old classics. Check out video below.

Way Down Wanderers: Equal parts fast-paced and soulful, 5-piece modern-folk Americana act, The Way Down Wanderers, draw listeners in with energy, originality and soulful generosity. Playing, performing and writing together for just 3 short years, the Wanderers have built an enthusiastic and fast-growing following. Youthful and professionally trained, these young men captivate audiences with soaring instrumentals, foot stomping sing-alongs and a lively stage show and have created a buzz for themselves with their unplugged, off-stage encores and propensity for performing self-titled, “restSTOMPS” – free acoustic sets at rest & truck stops along their tour routes. The band’s debut, self-titled album, produced by Mike Marsh of the Avett Brothers and recorded at Sonic Ranch in El Paso TX, is now available wherever music is sold. Check out video below.

This will be a great event with an amazing band that will get the Volga City Opera House floor rocking just like The Last Revel did in May! Please don’t miss this event, and the best part is it’s a fundraiser for conservation in Clayton County and the Opera House! What a combo! – Clayton County CAN board member, Gary Siegwarth

Local craft beer will be on tap for the evening in addition to other beverages.

Before the show be sure to stop the Volga City Fire Department Annual Soup Supper!
